Our Story
We started coming to the mountains around 1979. We came up every chance we got. We made the move to Maggie Valley in 2009. I wasn't ready to retire so after a couple of years we left the mountains. We moved back a couple of years ago when I finally retired. We both love the outdoors and go 'wandering' at least once a week. We always have our camera's and we love to share. We will bring you pictures and videos of some of the most interesting things.
I have been a programmer/analyst for over 50 years. I have also loved photography for that long. I remember take 8MM film and cutting and splicing to get what I wanted. The new technology makes the old way of editing seem prehistoric. With the modern tools for editing and creating videos and photos, I feel like a kid in a candy store. That's what makes this page exciting, you will never know what I am going to do and what you are going to find.
Lovely Linda has been a loving wife and companion for 50 years this year. The amazing thing is that we are complete opposites. The good thing is the 2 parts fit together perfectly.
We can both take a picture of the same thing and, most of the time, the pictures look completely different, so we get a twofer. Some of her photos are on display at the Elk Cabin in Maggie Valley NC. Lovely Linda continues to take pictures of the beautiful and the unusual. You will find lovely Linda's photos strangely compelling.
